A dermatologist is a doctor who has specialised in the diagnosis and treatmentment of skin, hair and nail disorders. Dermatologists are able to diagnose and treat all skin, hair and nail conditions for both men and women and across all age groups and ethnicities.

There are over 4000 skin, hair and nail disorders which dermatologists are able to manage. Some of the most common conditions which we treat are outlined below.
Acne
Dermatologists review and treat acne in patients from teenagers to adults. Acne is a common chronic disorder affecting the hair follicle and sebaceous gland, in which there is expansion and blockage of the follicle and inflammation. There are several variants. It affects males and females of all races and ethnicities. It is prevalent in adolescents and young adults with 85% of 16 to 18 year-olds affected. However, it may sometimes occur in children and adults of all ages.
We offer a range of treatment options for different severities of acne. This can include but is not limited to topical creams, oral tablets, chemical peels and or laser/light treatments. With various options available for treatment, we design management plans specific to the patients' health needs and concerns.
Dermatitis
Our dermatologists can manage the treatment of a range of dermatitis-like conditions, which include patients ranging from childhood to adulthood. Dermatitis refers to a group of itchy inflammatory conditions characterised by itch and rash. Dermatitis may be either acute or chronic, and although the mechanism by which the dermatitis develops may be the same, the appearances may be starkly different.
Treatment options range from topical ointments, tablets, and or injections. Management and treatment plans for patient with any type of dermatitis are tailored to each patient.
Psoriasis
Dermatologists are able to diagnose and treat individuals affected by psoriasis from childhood to adulthood. Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterised by clearly defined, red and scaly plaques. It is classified into several different types.
Psoriasis affects 2–4% of males and females. It can start at any age including childhood, with peaks of onset at 15–25 years and 50–60 years. It tends to persist lifelong, fluctuating in extent and severity. It is particularly common in caucasians but may affect people of any race. About one-third of patients with psoriasis have family members with psoriasis.
Our clinic offers treatment options ranging from ointments, tablets and or injections. Treatment for different types of psoriasis will be specifically arranged to the patient to suit their needs and health concerns.
